Experiencing The Bato Springs Resort

By: John Joshua Vera Cruz

What is “summer”? It is the word students want to hear during their classes. A time where you can almost do anything without studying, a season where in swimming and outings are given. But for me, summer is just a plain old season with my computer (games). No outings are planned.

So I was almost hopeless, but a week before enrollment, my father announced a late family outing. Well, that changed everything. And here is what I thought about the place that we visited.

First, we were deciding between going to a resort and going to an amusement park. Eventually we decided to go swimming/overnight in this place.

Bato Springs 1

Bato Springs 2

Bato Springs 3

These are the three pools of Bato springs resort, regrettably the other pool
was closed for cleaning. Adding up, this resort has four pools. The picture on the most left is their main pool.

We departed at about ten in the morning, and arrived a quarter before two in the afternoon. Basically, the trip takes three hours via public transportation.

To get to Bato springs resort from our house in Pandacan, Manila, we rode a jeepeney going to Pedro Gil, Taft. From there, we rode another jeepney going to Buendia. Then, when we arrived to the Jac liner station, we took a trip going to Lucena. The plan was going straight to San Pablo, Laguna, unluckily the bus’ air-conditioned stopped working. So we had to transfer to another bus. Going on we dropped off a street where the catalogue “Bato Springs” can be seen. From there we contracted a tricycle going up to the feet of the mountain. It traveled seven meters to be exact, taking 15-20 minutes. Starting from the mountain’s feet it would be another 20 minutes to reach the main gate.

Finally we reached the spring. The entrance fee was 70 PHP. And the overnight room costs 2,500 PHP. If you guys want to go, there is also a day tour with 70 PHP entrance fee. You can spend the whole day but you can’t sleep there. On the whole, bringing 500 – 700 PHP will be essential for you to enjoy ourselves. This pocket money also includes your food and fare back and forth.

In the spring, you can see great sites. What can be more relaxing than taking a vacation close to Mother Nature. These are just some spoilers. If want to see the real beauty of this resort, you can check their facebook page. Just type “Bato Springs San Pablo Laguna”.

And one more thing, the water here is so super duper cold. Enjoy Guys. God bless.

  1. Hey there! I know this is somewhat off topic but I
was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website?
I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform.
I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
